This weekend’s Red Dead Redemption 2 update is about much more than just running a moonshine business. It brings much more than that. PS4 players will now have access to the Photo Mode and Story Mode features that premiered first for the PCs.
What’s that? You have never heard of the photo mode? The photo option is pretty self-explanatory if you’ve seen features like it in games before, but the story additions are considerably more elaborate. It’s like having an old west photo studio to go along with the game. Aside from that, there are bounty missions to track down wanted criminals, gang hideout raids, treasure maps, a “To the Ends of the Earth” stranger mission and a bunch of new guns, horses and trinkets.
If you play on an Xbox One, however, you’ll have to wait for a while. The photo and story extras won’t hit Microsoft’s console until January 21st, so you’ll have to be satisfied with the “Moonshiners” features over the holiday break. Still, it’s good to know that it’s just a matter of when you’ll have these things, rather than whether you’ll have them at all. It sounds like some fun additions to the already awesome game.
