We have heard several reports recently about Razer’s upcoming device since the company confirmed that it’s working on the successor to the original Razer Phone. Well now the company has sent out invites to the press for an event on October 10th and it’s very likely that it’s going to be unveiling the Razer Phone 2 at the event.
The invite doesn’t tell us much of anything. We don’t know what the company is planning to unveil at the event. It does mention the words “flagship // gaming,” which is a pretty good hint that this is about the next-generation Razer Phone. The original handset was branded as a flagship gaming phone.
Other reports seem to suggest that the Razer Phone 2 won’t have any major design changes compared to its predecessor. We hear that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor which is to be expected of any Android flagship right now too. We also hear that Razer’s Chroma LED effects may be onboard for notifications too.
Razer’s event is scheduled for October 10th, just a day after Google launches its upcoming handsets, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. We have no word on the pricing or a release date for the new Razer device just yet.
