Rage 2 may be a single-player game, but that doesn’t mean the gameplay will be terribly static. Avalanche and Bethesda have now published a 2019 roadmap for the open-world shooter, and it’s clear that the developers are kind of treating it as if it were an always-evolving multiplayer title. There are two paid expansions coming.
One arrives in August called “Rise of the Ghosts”, and one is arriving in November. We don’t have a lot of details about the plot, but they say we can look forward to new stories, areas and gear for both add-ons.
And you won’t have to pay extra to get something. Weapon skins, world events, challenges, and new rides are all scheduled to be available throughout 2019. At least you’ll have a reason to keep playing after the main story. But will Rage 2 get more once 2020 rolls around? While it’s nothing new for single-player games to get expansions, they rarely have roadmaps with month-by-month commitments. I guess it will all depend on demand.
At least players have a lot to look forward to for the moment. I’m betting that these two expansions will be just the beginning, but time will tell. Are you looking forward to these expansions?
