PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues to get some updates as PUBG Corp competes against the likes of Fortnite in the battle royal space. We’ve even heard reports that the developer was going to launch a smaller map called Codename: Savage. This map measures 4×4 km which is about one-quarter of the size of PUBG’s other two maps called Erangel and Miramar. Well, it is happening. It has been confirmed by the developer that Codename: Savage will begin testing next week.
Even though the map is going to enter testing soon, the first test of Codename: Savage will be closed and limited to select players. That stinks, but at least it will be available to all eventually. We just have to wait.
It was confirmed through the game’s official Twitter account that the first testing window for the new 4×4 km map will begin at 7PM PDT on April 2nd. Players should keep an eye on PUBG’s social media channels for access keys.
We do not know when Codename: Savage is going to be released for all PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds players. Hopefully, it won’t be very long until we can all play and enjoy it. Maps like this should help give them a boost over Fortnite.
