Sony rolled out an update to the PlayStation Store, that allows you to purchase digital goods through PayPal in addition to using a credit card or a prepaid card. The company has rolled out an additional payment method which would use your mobile phone account to make a payment. That should make it easier for some to buy digital goods.
Adding your mobile account to your PlayStation Network account is easy. You can add it through the PlayStation Store while on your PlayStation 3, or you can visit the account management tab on the Sony Entertainment Network site. Hopefully they have a safety feature so your kid can’t accidentally buy stuff.
You can never have too many payment options, so this is a good idea as far as we are concerned.
