It looks like PS Vita sales could see a jump since it has been confirmed that all PS4 games will be compatible with the PS Vita Remote Play feature when they launch.
A “trusted PlayStation 4 developer” (We hope) originally suggested that Vita Remote Play would be mandatory for all PS4 games released, which is great news for the handheld console, which has struggled to achieve commercial success. It has to compete with the 3DS as well as mobile games after all.
Sony has now confirmed that this Remote Play compatibility will be mandatory for all qualifying PS4 games on Twitter in a response to an user.
“Yes, it’s true unless the game requires specific hardware like the camera,” said Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida. “It will be great to play PS4 games on PS Vita.”
That is yet another selling point for the console and a big boost for the Vita.
