Pokemon Go is a Pokemon new game that uses augmented reality technology to allow players to play Pokemon in real-life. It is a unique take on the typical Pokemon game. Sign ups for the Pokemon Go U.S. beta went live last week after the beta was launched in Australia and New Zealand.
If you signed up in time and have been accepted in the beta, you will now be able to take the new game for a spin and kick the tires.
You will be able to find and catch more than a hundred Pokemon in the game. Your phone will automatically buzz when they’re out and about, and there’s a Pokemon nearby. That’s your chance to catch one. A Pokemon Go Plus wristband is also sold separately that will light up and buzz when Pokemon are nearby and can be captured.
It is an interesting concept for a game since it invades real life.Poke Balls and other items can be found at “PokeStops,” which are located in real world locations like historical markers, public art installations and monuments. You can even become part of a team and participate in Gym Battles. Gyms are also found in real-life locations.
If you want to check out the beta, you can still sign up to be considered for access. The full launch is scheduled for later this year. Make sure you catch them all.
