Pokemon Go was released in select markets earlier in the year and it became an instant hit. You know this unless you’ve been living under a rock. The game has become a global hit in fact, and continues to thrive. Updates for the game are coming and developer Niantic continues to expand it to more markets.
Well, today the Pokemon Go release in India is finally going to take place.
Niantic has teamed up with 4G LTE carrier Reliance Jio to release Pokemon Go in the country. The game will be officially available for download in the country today. These players will also be able to socialize with other players through an exclusive Pokemon Go Channel in Reliance Jio’s social messaging app JioChat. Now players in India can experience the game for themselves.
Reliance Digital Stores will double as PokeStops and Gyms of course. These will be the locations where players will most likely find more Pokemon. The same goes for other partner locations in the country. Pokemon Go has had impressive growth ever since it was released earlier in the year. The game has now been downloaded more than 500 million times. Have fun playing the game India.
