At E3 2017 last month, Nintendo finally gave gamers what many have been asking for, a Pokemon RPG that won’t be exclusive to the company’s handheld consoles. That is a big deal for fans.
Nintendo announced that a Pokemon RPG would be making its way onto the Nintendo Switch. Yay!
Details of the game are scarce and it looks like it could be that way for a while. If you are wondering when the game will be released, you’re probably in for a long wait. According to Nintendo’s latest financials, the company has listed Pokemon for the Nintendo Switch as arriving in 2018 or later. That is a bummer, but at least we know it is coming.
No wonder Nintendo did not provide at date when the game was announced. In fact The Pokémon Company’s Tsunekazu Ishihara was even quoted as saying that “it may not release for more than a year”. This means that at the very earliest, it could arrive in 2018, if not 2019 or even later. We hope it is sooner rather than later. At least we know that a Pokemon game for the Switch is in development, so until then we will just have to remain patient about it. What else can we do?
