Sadly, people really don’t like the PlayStation Classic. It has not sold very well at all compared to the other retro mini consoles that have been released. Maybe it was the fact that it cost $100. Nope. The price quickly dropped over the next few months, to $60, $40, and even $30. Now it is even lower.
Wario64 on Twitter revealed that it is now available at both Best Buy and Amazon for just $25. That’s a 75 percent discount from the starting price. You get two controllers, 20 pre-loaded games that do not represent the strongest titles ever and it includes PAL versions with poor performance. It includes titles like Metal Gear Solid, Twisted Metal and Final Fantasy VII.
This was a big miss with fans for sure. Is the mini-retro-console craze over or is this one just a dud? Maybe a bit of both. What will be the price that finally makes them fly off the shelves? I guess we will find out. Will it be $25 or even lower?
If you are going to spend the money you may as well get the real deal on eBay. Then you can experience the nostalgia the way it was meant to be. Will you buy one at this price?
