If you haven’t played with your Playstation 2 for a long time, you might want to do something cool with it like this. Dan Shanks received an old PlayStation 2 from his manager at work. Now he could just thrown it out so that it would sit in a landfill somewhere, but he did something much cooler. He re-purposed it into Batman’s Tumbler from the recent Christopher Nolan movies.
Shanks used the PlayStation 2, some printer parts and some hard drive spacers to give the vehicle the look he wanted, but most of it is PS2 parts. The Tumbler measures 9 1/2 inches long and 4 1/2 inches tall and is available for sale on Shanks’ Etsy page for $250. Sadly it won’t play PlayStation 2 games any longer, but that’s okay. It looks pretty awesome. Anyway, we have moved onto other consoles and better games.
This is a great project to inspire anyone who has an old console that never gets played with anymore. He has a lot of other cool recycled objects in his shop too. Chances are that you will see something that you like. I didn’t see Batman’s cycle though, which would compliment this one nicely. He should make that one next.
