iPad users that preferred the touch of a physical keyboard that don’t want to carry an additional piece of hardware with their tablet, may be interested in the new tactile touchscreen keyboard called Phorm.
Phorm is a see-through skin that is applied to your touchscreen display and has been designed to raise up when the keyboard is required and then lower back down to make the screen completely flat once again.
Providing physical key locations directly onto the screen for you to locate your fingers and type more efficiently. Watch the video below to see this new and innovative tactile touchscreen iPad keyboard in use.
The current keyboard has been built upon the first prototype which was unveiled nearly three years ago by California-based startup Tactus Technology.
The Phorm keyboard who’s buttons flattened down for the screen became entirely smooth is now available to pre-order for all versions of the Apple iPad mini priced at $99. Its creators explain a little more :
