Students finding it hard to concentrate with the onslaught of modern distractions always lurking, may be interested in a new smartphone application which is being created for both iOS and Android devices called Peep.
Peep has been specifically designed to help those that are studying for exams and offers a way to enhance their overall productivity, say the applications creators. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the features of Peep and how they can help you stay focused during your study periods.
Peep: The Study App is a mobile app (in development) designed to enhance overall productivity amongst college students. Distractions are shown to decrease productivity by up to 40%. 86% of students own a smartphone, and 95% of them find themselves to be distracted by social media. College students are continuously bombarded with distractions due to hyper-connectivity, and also find it difficult to retrieve immediate academic assistance. Both of these problems hinder productivity for college students. Peep will help mend both of these problems by incorporating intrinsic motivation with productivity sessions and scores tailored to the students’ needs. Student’s will be able to compete, compare, track, and gage their personal productivity. Peep will also leverage geofenced course and professor tags to initiate one-on-one interaction between students for more immediate academic assistance.
Peep consists of a team of extremely talented and driven individuals. At least three of our seven team members have explored multiple entrepreneurial ventures before the age of 21 years old, all while being enrolled in school full-time and working part-time jobs. Amongst our founders, CTO, media production team, and marketing team, our skillset as a company stretches all across the board. We have established long-lasting relationships with several faculty members at Xavier University and serial entrepreneurs in the Greater Cincinnati Area.
We have a very strong and consistent social media presence, which adheres to our target market. We made a unique strategic marketing decision to build a large social following before our app is fully developed in order to build awareness and heighten anticipation. Given the fact that college students are hyper-connected via social media, we believe that having this social media presence is essential to gaining traction fairly quickly; we intend to hit the ground running from launch. Our newsletter subscription list consists of over 1,100 unique emails, which is used to keep our supporters updated and engaged. Our website is on pace to receive over 1,000 views in the month of May; before our app has even been launched! Not to mention, we haven’t even boosted any of our content via Facebook or Instagram yet.
