Do you find that you get hungry while reading through the News Feed on Facebook? Well, here’s some good news. You don’t even have to exit the app in order to get some food.
Facebook has now confirmed that users in the United States can order food using the social network. You can order food for pick-up or delivery directly on Facebook. Pretty convenient.
Facebook has been testing out this functionality since last year with select partners and now they are ready to go. Facebook has made some changes thanks to user feedback and has also added more partners to it. It is now live for all users in the United States on iOS, Android, and desktop.
You can check out the restaurants nearby by heading to the Order Food section in the Explore menu on Facebook. Then decide on a restaurant and put in the order. You can also select which service you want to use for takeout or delivery if the restaurant offers multiple options.
You will get options from a variety of food ordering services like EatStreet, Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow and Olo, as well as restaurants like Jack in the Box, Five Guys, Papa John’s, and Panera inside Facebook.
