It was an odd move when Nintendo decided to release just the New 3DS XL in the US this winter instead of its smaller New 3DS. Why would Nintendo shun American gamers by not offering a smaller, more portable handheld? Who knows? But they are making good on it now with this special bundle.
Nintendo has revealed that it’s bringing the New 3DS to the US on September 25th as part of a $220 Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle. So if you want one and you like that game, you will want to grab this and enjoy Nintendo’s latest portable console design for yourself.
This console is Animal Crossing themed. The NFC Reader which you need to load up on Amiibo figurines and card will also arrive that day for only $20 if you need that too.
This is a start. Hopefully soon you will be able to get a plain non-themed New 3DS. Nintendo is sure to expand the selection pretty soon, but for now this is what US fans have in the way of the New 3DS. Once they sell enough, I’m sure they will offer it up in several cool colors and styles. Better late than never I guess.
