E3 is almost here and anyone who bought a Wii U is waiting to see what Nintendo might have to offer as far as games. In fact they NEED games desperately. How about a price drop for the console?
According to Kotaku, one of their sources says that GameStop has reportedly stopped stocking the 8GB version of the Nintendo Wii U console, and that that model will be recalled on June 18th. The reason is unknown. It could be a hardware defect or because of a new SKU or a price cut.
By recalling the 8GB model, it is possible that the 32GB model could see its price of $350 slashed to $300, which is the price point of the 8GB unit. A new SKU is possible, like an 8GB bundle with some extras. Take it with a grain of salt as we wait for E3.
