People have been enjoying the Nintendo Switch and the console has been a huge hit for Nintendo, which is just what they needed after their last console bombed and wasn’t such a hit with fans. And since it is such a hit it is going to get some cool upgrades and capabilities that make it much more than just a gaming device.
Like streaming apps. Today Hulu announced that it will be the first video streaming app on Nintendo’s Switch console system.
And you don’t have to wait long for it either. You’ll be able to get the app from the eShop and use your Switch to stream The Handmaid’s Tale and other popular Hulu shows starting today. They have a free trial on offer, and returning customers can use either Hulu’s live TV package or the traditional Hulu experience on the system.
Nintendo has not said much about streaming services on the Switch, so Hulu comes as a bit of a surprise. We can only assume and hope that Netflix will be next on the list. It will be nice to be able to watch movies and TV shows on your Nintendo console, then switch over to Mario Kart when the mood strikes.
