Nintendo pre-orders are a hot thing right now, especially if we are talking amiibo figures. In fact, it is hard to get an item before it is sold out. Things like theft makes it even harder for gamers to get their gear. When thieves steal already-ordered gear it can affect those pre-orders. A delivery truck full of Splatoon amiibo and games was robbed in the United Kingdom.
This is not good news for those in the region who pre-ordered these items. But you have a few options.
The truck was on its way from a European warehouse for the gaming company, and it was heading toward GAME, a British retailer. If you pre-ordered and were affected by this heist, you are being offered two different options. If you still want to get the item you pre-ordered, you can choose to receive a £10 discount on the items and will get a standard edition instead. If you want to look for the items at a different store you can choose to cancel the order completely. Those are the choices.
We don’t know if the robbers were targeting these items specifically or just picked a truck at random. But they stole the whole truck. They probably knew what they were doing and hope to cash in on these popular items.
