We all know that print media is on its way out. It is getting harder and harder for regional and niche publications. They have had to either go digital in some form or die. But national publications face the same problems.
Newsweek has made a decision to drop its print edition after December 31st.
If you like the magazine you will have to read the purely digital Newsweek Global or its The Daily Beast sibling. The reason is simple. Print readership is dying and it is expensive. Not only that but at the same time, web and tablet adoption is growing quickly.
That’s why Newsweek believes it can make the switch without taking a huge financial hit. Sad to see it go, but it will still be around in digital.
