Aside from announcing the G Flex 2 and mentioning the G4, it looks like LG has also shown off a new smartwatch at CES 2015. Although it has not been officially presented.
This had to be an intentional tease too. This mysterious smartwatch was spotted during Audi’s CES press conference, when one of Audi’s officials used the device to command a self-driving car. That is one way to unveil your device and make sure it gets everyone’s attention. Mission accomplish LG and Audi.
Like the LG G Watch R, this new smartwatch has a round display. It also has three buttons on the right side, not just one, so that is a dead giveaway that this has to be a new model. We don’t know anything about it yet, and it is unclear if the device runs Android Wear, though it likely does.
Right now, LG isn’t saying anything about this new smartwatch, but when they are ready the company will reveal more details. Awhile back there was a rumor that LG would announce an LTE-enabled G Watch R2 at MWC 2015. This could be that smartwatch. We’ll just have to wait and see what develops. They certainly have our attention now anyway.
