We are all looking forward to some new iPads and Apple is due to launch new iPads in a few months which is why there are so many rumors and reports about the new tablets right now. Well here is another.
The latest report comes from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, who has slightly revised his predictions for the new iPad Pro. Kuo now predicts that Apple will release three tablets in 2017 and that the high-end iPad Pro model will have a 10.5 inch display.
According to this analyst, the 2017 tablet lineup from Apple will include the 12.9 inch iPad Pro 2, a new iPad Pro with a display that’s either 10 or 10.5 inches and a “low-cost” iPad with a 9.7 inch display that iPads have had over the years. As always, take it with a grain of salt for now, although it sounds good to us.
The new 10-10.5 inch iPad Pro is supposed to be the new high-end model with a narrow bezel design as well. Apparently it will be powered by Apple’s A10X processor with upgraded internal hardware. Kuo also thinks that iPad shipments in 2017 will experience a drop again year-over-year to around 35-37 million units. This drop won’t necessarily be due to consumers losing interest in the iPad or Apple itself, but also due to the performance of the overall tablet market, which has been on a steady decline for the past few quarters. I guess we will see.
