If you’re a fan of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater franchise, this news will make your day. It looks like the franchise is set to make a comeback on consoles. This news was confirmed by Tony Hawk himself, who took to Twitter to make the announcement.
Sadly he didn’t reveal any more details about the new game. We don’t know what it is going to be called and when it will be released. All we know is that it is coming.
Hawk confirmed that he has teamed up with Activision “on a console game for 2015.” Hawk merely says that he thinks fans of Tony Hawk Pro Skater franchise “will be hyped.” He also mentioned that they’re working on a new mobile game as well so it will be completely new experience across both platforms, console and mobile. That should be good news for fans since it has been awhile.
Tony Hawk: Shred, released in 2012 and didn’t do very well. Since then there have been only a few mobile releases. We will likely learn more next year when the release draws near. We don’t know whether this new game will be available only on next-gen consoles or if the PS3 and Xbox 360 will be supported as well. We will have to wait and see.
