Activision has always been pretty consistent with its release of Call of Duty games, releasing them on an annual basis. Gamers just want more. well, no worries. They are continuing the tradition for those who aren’t sick of the franchise yet. We can expect to learn more about a new Call of Duty game by the end of June.
This news was revealed during Activision’s earnings call where they said expect to reveal it sometime this quarter.
Since E3 2019 is in June, it seems like a good time to make the announcement. It could happen earlier, but either way, we should have the details by the end of June. Infinity Ward is also expected to develop this year’s title, since last year’s Black Ops 4 was developed by Treyarch.
Infinity Ward is being behind Call of Duty titles like Modern Warfare, Ghosts, and Infinite Warfare. We’ll have to wait and see what the game is about. It will also be interesting to see if this year’s Call of Duty could land on the Nintendo Switch.
So far we have seen releases in the past for the Wii and Wii U, and with the popularity of the Switch console, it seems like a no brainer.
