If you’re a fan of MMORPGs, especially those that are based on Dungeons & Dragons, the good news is that the free-to-play MMORPG Neverwinter is coming to the Xbox One console in the first half of 2015. No specific date yet.
The game will be released first in China. After that, the game is expected to make its way to other parts of the world and probably other platforms as well. Unless Microsoft has managed to get exclusive rights to the console version of the game, which would be a big score for them.
The game is expected to remain the same as its PC counterpart, so don’t expect anything too different. Although it is early still, so we don’t know for sure. Andy Velasquez, the game’s lead designer says, “All the same races, all the same classes, all the same maps. The content will be there, with some minor exceptions. Since we launched on PC. We’ve added some bits to the endgame, and then we added another module which had another campaign at the endgame. So we’ll probably stagger those releases [in the console version].”
The interface has been redesigned for consoles of course, since console gamers don’t play with a mouse. We know it is coming. Now we just have to wait.
