Fans of the royal family have something to celebrate. After almost two years since the last installment dropped, Netflix has revealed a release date for season three of The Crown. That date is November 17th.
The show will chart the Royal Family’s history between 1964 and 1977, and touch on milestone events like the Beatles’ ascendancy to superstardom for instance.
One thing to know is that there’s an all-new cast this time around. Oscar winner Olivia Colman will take over from Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II in the lead role, while Helena Bonham Carter will play Princess Margaret. Fans have been waiting for quite a while for this latest season. Hopefully, it will have been worth the wait.
This season also includes the emergence of Camilla Parker Bowles (played by Call the Midwife’s Emerald Fennell), the future wife of Prince Charles (played by Josh O’Connor).
I’m not sure why the wait was so long between seasons for this popular show, but it is likely they wanted to get it just right before rolling it out. If you are a fan of this Netflix show at least you now know when you can expect it. You can watch it on November 17th.
