Netflix is introducing a feature to its Android app that will keep viewers from tearing up their mobile data plan. Basically, in the settings menu, users will discover an option that restricts video playback to WiFi networks.
Netflix has left the setting to your own discretion, so it has to be manually enabled. Once you do this, you’ll retain the ability to search and browse Netflix over a mobile connection, but you’ll need to find a WiFi connection when it’s time to watch your stuff.
If you’re unsure of where your plan usage is, the WiFi restriction is probably worth turning on. It’s a good addition that will really help users from getting in trouble.
