The sixth season of Netflix’s hit show House of Cards will be released in a few months. Netflix today has confirmed the release date for House of Cards season 6. Interestingly, the premiere date is just ahead of the midterm elections in the United States. The sixth season will be the final season of the hit show.
You might remember that the production of the show was halted for a few months last year after the lead actor Kevin Spacey was accused of sexual assault. Soon after Netflix halted production of the show, and removed the actor entirely from House of Cards.
Due to the events of the previous season, Netflix was likely easily able to move ahead with the story, which will focus on the character of Claire Underwood and her presidency. Much of the focus had already been going toward her.
We don’t know how Spacey’s Frank Underwood will be written out of the show. Netflix has confirmed that the final season is going to premiere on November 2nd. All episodes will be available for streaming on that very day so you can binge watch. Fans of the series are looking forward to this final season. It should be very interesting.
