The only way you can watch the latest movies is by going to a theater. That’s just the way it is today. If you miss all the showings, you just have to wait until the DVD/Blu-ray version has been released. Either that or get it illegally.
Well, not everyone has the time to visit the theater, and some people prefer watching it in the comfort of their own home, which is why movie studios are starting to consider more seriously the idea of letting viewers at home watch the latest movies earlier than normal for a premium price.
Apparently studios like Fox and Warner Bros. are considering a rental of $30 to watch a movie between 30-45 days after its opening. This could make big money for them. Like we said, not everyone can see it in the theater. And if you get a bunch of friends over, you can all split the cost which could end up saving you more money than normal. Some studios are also considering an even earlier preview of 17 days after a movie has been released, but this will see a price increase to $50. What do you think of this idea? It gives you one more option to see a movie.
