We have been hearing rumors for a while that Motorola has been getting ready to launch the new Xoom 2 tablet, it is now official and Motorola has just announced two new Android Honeycomb tablets, the Motorola Xoom 2 and the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition Tablet.
First up is the Motorola Xoom 2 which features a 10.1 inch HD display with Gorilla Glass and it comes with Android 3.2 Honeycomb and a dual core 1.2GHz processor, plus 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage.
Other specifications on the Xoom 2 include a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera and a rear facing 5 megapixel camera with digital zoom, an LED flash and auto-focus plus a 10+ hour battery for web usage.
Next up is the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition tablet which also comes with Android 3.2 Honeycomb, and a dual core 1.2GHz processor, this version features a smaller 8.2 inch HD display with Gorilla Glass.
Other specifications on the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition tablet include a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera and a rear facing 5 megapixel camera with digital zoom, an LED flash and auto-focus, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, according to Motorola the Xoom 2 Media Edition is good for 6 plus hours of battery usage on the web.
Both the new Motorola Xoom 2 And the Xoom 2 Media edition will go on sale in the UK and Ireland in mid November, there are no details on pricing as yet.
