Apparently Motorola has learned some lessons and are giving the Android community what it wants: namely unlockable bootloaders. So if you like loading custom ROMs onto your Android phones, this is fantastic news.
They announcement surfaced on the official Motorola blog, much to the joy of potential buyers. Starting with the Motorola PHOTON Q 4G LTE, users will be able to unlock the bootloader. It looks like Motorola has come up with a solution that caters to the security that carriers want and also the customizability that users want. Everyone wins.
