Obviously you’ll have to take this with the usual grain of salt, but a source that is said to be reliable is telling Hot Hardware that the Motorola DROID RAZR HD will be launched in October. That source also says that the device will be accompanied by the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD. What do you think?
The Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX with its 3300mAh battery has been a huge hit with some reports indicate that it outsold the Apple iPhone 4S for Verizon during the second quarter. The Motorola DROID RAZR HD will have a 2530mAh battery which would be large enough not to require a “MAXX” variant of the phone. Either the source is all wrong and there won’t be a Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD or there will be a variant with a larger capacity battery.
If we believe that there will be a Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD, it should match the specs on the DROID RAZR HD, but with the larger battery. Speculation is that both devices will have a display with a resolution of 720 x 1280, a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 and Android 4.0.4 out of the box.
