So we have been hearing whispers that Motorola has a lower-cost version of the Moto X they are readying. The handset was previously called the Motorola DVX, but new rumors suggest that the handset will be officially known as the Moto G. I think we can confirm that now thanks to a simple screenshot from Droid-Life.
It appears that Moto G is in fact the official name of the device, as seen in the image above. The name has been taken down now, but when it was active, the link did not work anyway. So it looks like Motorola might be about ready to launch the device. Why else would they be putting it up for all to see, as if readying the page? Rumors say that the upcoming Moto G will have a 4.5” LCD display powered by Motorola’s X8 Computer System. There will also be some dual-SIM capabilities and the price is supposed to be between $200-$250 off-contract.
That is much more affordable than the higher-end Moto X. Hopefully it won’t be long until we get some official specs and an announcement from Motorola. When we get the info we will pass it on as always.
