Last week ahead of E3 2014, NetherRealm Studios unveiled the next Mortal Kombat game: Mortal Kombat X. At E3, a gameplay trailer of the game was released which showed off some new characters as well. Fighting against other players sounds super fun this time around, but what will that be like?
It is different than playing against an AI, since different humans think in unique ways and have different strategies. For more info on multiplayer in Mortal Kombat X, the folks at Game Informer got some details from Ed Boon.
Boon says that he feels like the most important feature of Mortal Kombat X would be the online component. We have to agree. “We’re going to be introducing this online metagame that everyone participates in. It’s an online experience that is persistent. Everyone is going to be playing it, and there are benefits. It’s definitely something that’s going to play a major role in people’s experience playing Mortal Kombat.” And aside from that brief description, not much else was revealed. However, we will get more info very soon as soon as something leaks or they release more details. It definitely sounds intriguing. He has our attention. Now lets see where they are going with this?
