Last month at about the same time as the console and PC release of the game, Mortal Kombat X was also released for iOS devices. Android was left out since an Android version of the game had yet to be launched. Well that little oversight is now corrected.
If you are an Android gamer and you were looking forward to the Android version of the game, it is out now. Mortal Kombat X for mobile devices is a fighting game similar in style and gameplay to its console and PC counterparts. With the mobile version, the developers did something different and introduced a new card system that players collect and upgrade.
There is also a tag-team mode where gamers can swap between four characters on each side, online multiplayer, and even augment your character’s skills through equipment that you can purchase with in-game currency. It’s different enough that it just might capture your attention even if you have played the others.
According to Pocket Gamer, the in app purchases are pricey. They estimated that it would cost gamers at least $300 to buy all the characters in the game, and that is not even counting the equipment or skill upgrades. But if you like it and want to give it a go, it is out now for Android.
