That countdown on the Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition website is finally over and the website has delivered more details about the game. It looks pretty great. Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will be released on September 18th and will feature new content in addition to the original game.
The PC and Mac versions of the game will have three new playable sidekicks. There’s a half-Orc Blackguard Dorn, half-elf Wild Mage Neera, and a human monk named Rasaad. There’s also a new dungeon called The Black Pits, within the Underdark, which has fifteen levels of arena-style combat. The iPad version is the same, with a new interface and additional characters will be sold separately. You can also download voice sets and portraits.
The game will be headed to Android devices, but we don’t have a date yet. Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will cost $20 for Windows and Mac, and $10 on the iPad.
