Fans of the Monster Hunter game franchise will be happy to hear that there’s going to be a movie based on the title that will star Milla Jovovich. The upcoming Monster Hunter film will be going into production this September. It will be directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and filmed in Cape Town, South Africa.
Variety is reporting that the Monster Hunter film has a budget of about $60 million with Jeremy Bolt as the producer. Milla Jovovich, who has previously starred in the Resident Evil films, is going to be cast in this movie too.
Paul W. S. Anderson has written the script for the movie which is going to be the subject of a worldwide studio deal. Foreign distributors will not be able to pick it up on the open market. Hopefully, this will be a movie that will please fans of the game. The game has a very large fan base.
