Surprisingly Minecraft never really had a story mode until Telltale came on board. We heard last year that Telltale is going to develop an episodic adaptation and Minecraft: Story Mode arrived on major gaming platforms last autumn. But not for the Wii U. Well, today we know that Minecraft: Story Mode will be making its way to Nintendo Wii U very soon. It’s about time too.
Minecraft: Story Mode is the first game that Telltale has released for Nintendo’s home console. This version includes several unique features that are specific to this console, like off-TV play using the GamePad and the ability to use touchscreen controls to play missions throughout the story. Wii U owners should love it.
The first episode is going to be launched on January 21st for $4.99. You can purchase a Season Pass to get access to more episodes.
Nintendo Wii U owners have had to wait for this title, but it is better late than never. The game was initially launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, but Telltale needed longer to get it onto Nintendo’s console. Now that the game is ready, Wii U owners can look forward to playing Minecraft: Story Mode as well.
