Microsoft has just announced a new strategic partnership with Tencent, in order to push Windows 10 in the Chinese market, also to bring Tencent apps and services to the platform. You may not realize it, but Tencent is a large company, dealing in a bunch of business markets. Everything from media to advertising, and instant messaging and gaming.
This is why Tencent seems like a pretty good partner for Microsoft. They intend to push Windows 10 to as many people in China as possible and they should reach a lot of people with this new deal. It will be good for both companies.
With this deal between Tencent and Microsoft, Microsoft will push the free Windows 10 upgrade to a very wide audience indeed. Tencent will also want to bring its collection of apps and services to the Windows Store, which will include QQ, Tencent Video and Tencent PC Manager.
League of Legends of course is one app that is sure to get everyone’s attention, since it is one of the most popular games in the world right now. So if gamers have a secure and easy way to install it via the Windows Store, it will attract an even greater number of users. This seems like a very smart move by Microsoft for sure.
