Many of us like to procrastinate. If that sounds like you, then pay attention. Microsoft is requesting that you move ahead to Windows Phone 7.5 if you have not already done so. Microsoft’s director of program management Mazhar Mohammed says that he would like Windows Phone users to finish updating to Windows Phone 7.5 so that they can buy, update or download apps from the Windows Marketplace portal.
If you want to update, just use Zune software or Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac to see if a software update is available for download. The update offers many new features like making custom ringtones from MP3 and WMA files, visual voicemail, a battery saver feature that shuts down parts of the phone to save battery life and more.
The Windows Phone 7.5 update also brings voice based text messaging to your phone along with Facebook chat, Twitter and LinkedIn integration to your device. The so-called Mango update offers improved maps, driving directions, and multi-tasking. There is no reason to wait any longer.
