Microsoft users are well familiar with every second Tuesday of the month, known as “Patch Tuesday”. It is on this day that the folks over at Microsoft roll out security and software updates for its products. And now it will also come with new firmware versions for Microsoft’s Surface tablets, however it seems that the Microsoft Surface Pro model will be the only one that is getting an update on the latest Patch Tuesday.
Microsoft’s Surface history pages do let us know that Surface Pro owners will be able to enjoy an update which will “improve the experience” of using the Type Cover 2 and Touch Cover 2 keyboards as long as they have Windows 8. The Surface RT, Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 are not on the receiving end of such firmware updates, although the Surface 2 did get a minor patch last week which patched up an error that caused a number of owners to see a request to enter their BitLocker recovery key.
If you have already applied the update, what do you think? Are you enjoying it? Happy Patch Tuesday everyone.
