There was news the other day telling us that if you bought the Windows 10 Store version of Activision’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, it would not be playable with other copies of the game that were bought outside of the Windows 10 Store, like Steam for instance. So this means that if you wanted to play with a friend who bought it on Steam, you are out of luck. Which is pretty silly, hence people being frustrated.
Well we have some good news. Microsoft will refund you the price of the game if you want.
It looks like Microsoft is willing to hand out refunds if you bought the game from the Windows 10 Store. This is based on a post on Reddit where hayz00s claims his little brother bought the game from the Windows 10 Store and his brother called Microsoft to request a refund and it was given easily. We can only assume they will give it to you as well.
hayz00s says, “It was very easy. He said they were very courteous and didn’t give him any trouble trying to get the refund.” The only reason his brother went with the Windows 10 Store version was because it was cheaper. I guess there are times when it does not pay to be cheap. It looks like it was Activision’s decision to make the game run on separate servers for PC. We don’t know why this decision was made, but it makes Windows Store look bad.
