We all know that there aren’t as many games available on the Xbox One compared to the Xbox 360. That’s not surprising since the Xbox One is still fairly new, but we suspect that there are many games in the pipeline that are due for a release in the near future. However, if you were hoping for a ton of games in 2015, you might be disappointed by this news.
Speaking to Larry Hyrb in the latest Major Nelson podcast, Xbox head Phil Spencer revealed the news that some games could be delayed in 2015. That will be a major setback for the company for sure. It’s not because the games aren’t ready, but because it looks like Microsoft’s plate is too full at the moment, so they may have to spread the releases out.
Spencer says, “Next fall, I don’t… Honestly it’s not hype at all, I honestly don’t know that we can actually ship all the stuff that thinks it’s trying to ship next fall. It just might be too crowded and we might purposely try to move some things out to spread it.” If nothing else it will give gamers a chance to play what they already have for longer. Sometimes there are too many good games that come out all at once.
