Microsoft’s IntelliMouse had many fans at one time and they were disappointed when the company discontinued the IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. That was over five years ago.
However, it looks like the company might be bringing the mouse back, much to the delight of fans. Get ready for a new version of the mouse.
A new version of the mouse that’s based on the IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 has been spotted on the company’s website listed as “coming soon.”
The new version is called the Microsoft Classic IntelliMouse and it was spotted on Microsoft’s Surface accessories page. There’s a “coming soon” label so Microsoft might make it available, well… soon.
It appears to be wired like the original one and will obviously be improved. The tracking is more precise now with a DPI range up to 3200. The firm scroll wheel that fans loved is also back. Fans liked the symmetrical design of the mouse and its DPI range so it makes sense for the company to bring this one back. Microsoft hasn’t said anything about the pricing and availability of this new mouse just yet, but hopefully, it will come out with this information soon, because I know that many fans can’t wait to buy one.
