If you’ve always wanted to purchase the original Xbox One that Microsoft launched back in 2013, it is too late. The company is no longer selling the original console in the United States.
Microsoft is only selling the retail versions of the Xbox One X and Xbox One S via its online store. But if you really want one, you can get a refurbished model of the original Xbox One for $199. The original Xbox One has disappeared from the company’s online store in the United States.
The company was pretty quiet about the fact that it’s no longer selling the original console. Interestingly, the console remains listed on Microsoft’s UK online store, but mentions that it is “sold out.” All things must be phased out eventually. It’s highly unlikely that units will be restocked, so don’t hold your breath.
If you really want an original Xbox One, you can always try checking with the company’s retail partners to see if they have any stock remaining because Microsoft seems to be done with it and focusing its energies on the Xbox One X. The company opened pre-orders for the console last week and it was the “fastest-selling Xbox pre-order ever.” We hope you find one.
