On Monday we heard that Microsoft may be getting rid of Xbox points when they release Windows 8, and now Microsoft has confirmed that they will still use Xbox Points on their Xbox 360 console.
The story we posted early in the week showed cash for purchases of Xbox content, and now Microsoft has explained that Xbox content purchased in Windows 8 will be paid for in cash.
So basically nothing will change on the Xbox 360 console, you will still be able to buy content using Xbox Point, but in Windows 8 you will be able to use cash to purchases, movies, music and more.
This of course doesn’t mean that Microsoft will not switch to cash and phase out Xbox Points on their Xbox 360 console in the future.
