We already heard that it was likely that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be released in either April or June of 2015. Well, that doesn’t appear to be the case after all, thanks to a video that appeared online that featured Hideo Kojima, the series creator, revealing the Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain release date.
Earlier in the week Konami put up a teaser on its website and told us to wait until March 4th for an announcement regarding the title.
The leaked video appeared on IGN’s Italian affiliate, but was pulled. However, a screenshot was obtained from the video which shows the Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain release date. The video had Kojima revealing that Kojima Productions is “putting the finishing touches” on the title. It will be released for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and the PC. All the usual platforms.
Kojima also says, “With Metal Gear Solid 5, I’m finally closing the loop on that saga. In that sense, this will be the final Metal Gear Solid. Even if the Metal Gear franchise continues, to me, this is the last Metal Gear,” We can expect Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain to be released on September 1st, 2015.
