Our phones are more powerful than ever these days and can be used for almost anything. They can help us stay fit, access the entire Internet, allow us to immediately connect with friends and family, take photos and videos, and much more.
Even so, they currently can’t order Big Macs. McDonald’s is one of the most popular fast-food chains in the world, but the company has been a bit slow when it comes to their adoption of new technology. Companies like Starbucks allow customers to place orders for food and drinks directly through the official Starbucks app, and now it looks like McDonald’s will be introducing similar functionality within in their own app next year. It is about time.
Starting in the first half of 2017, McDonald’s will allow you to order items from their menu through the McDonald’s app on your smartphone, then there will be a full-fledged national rollout in the second half of the year. The app will let you order and pay for your items within the app. It’s nice to see that the company is finally moving forward with being more mobile-friendly. Customers are going to love it and it should mean more business.
