If you are waiting to get your hands on Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U on May 30th, you might be happy to know that Nintendo has announced a limited edition version of the game. It is basically the same version, with the main difference being that the limited edition version will come with an actual real life Spiny Shell!
The shell looks like a miniature toy, not a life-sized shell that you can throw into traffic, but it is still pretty cool. The price of the limited edition game is £60 and it will be released alongside the standard version of the game. We’re not sure how much Nintendo will be asking in the US, assuming the limited edition version of the game comes our way.
The Wii U isn’t doing so great, so hopefully they manage to sell a whole bunch of these. Many developers are not even interested in developing for the Wii U platform anymore. Super Smash Bros. is coming later in the year as well, so maybe this will help turn things around for the big N.
