Fallout 4 is an engaging game. No doubt about it. That’s why we were so excited to play this game and couldn’t wait for it. It is an addictive game, but in a good way. However, one Russian man is convinced that it’s too addicting. He’s suing Bethesda for 500,000 rubles ($7,030) for failing to warn that Fallout 4 would “become so addictive.”
Supposedly, the man went on a 3-week gaming marathon that cost him not only his health, but his job and his wife too. He says that if he knew how addicting it was, he would have either waited until the holidays to buy the game or avoided it completely.
I guess he has so little self control that he can’t bring himself to play games responsibly, so now he wants Bethesda to pay. He’s probably more addicted to hopefully getting a payout from the company. This whole thing is completely silly.
There isn’t the first time a case like this has come up. One American actually got compensation from NCSoft after he got hooked on Lineage II. He will have to convince the court that he was genuinely addicted, not just lacking in self-discipline. Good luck with that. I think he just wants a payout.
