We learned in July of last year that 2K Games had a new Mafia title on the way for fans. It was around August when we saw some trailers for Mafia 3 too, while we were assured that the game would be released in 2016. The company has not confirmed when the title is going to be released, but we may have an answer.
According to retailer listings Mafia 3 should be coming out pretty early this new year. That’s what we want to hear.
Amazon, Best Buy and GameStop all have the Mafia 3 release date listed as April 26th, 2016. The info seems pretty reliable since they all agree. The game is already available for pre-order right now if you want to reserve your copy. While 2K Games isn’t confirming when it’s going to release the game, but when asked it said that Mafia 3 is going to be released in calendar year 2016 during Take-Two’s fiscal year 2017, which starts on April 1st. So it looks like we won’t have long to wait.
This game comes five years after Mafia 2 was released in 2010, it’s set in 1968 and the main character is out for revenge against the Italian mob. It’s a classic revenge tale that fans will enjoy.
